Zaxby’s is shaking up its menu with the return of two fan favorites and debut of two new offerings. The fast-casual chicken chain is rolling out a new line of premium milkshakes including the popular Birthday Cake and Banana Pudding Milkshakes and the new Chocolate Cookie Milkshake. The new milkshakes are now a permanent menu enhancement, replacing the traditional chocolate, strawberry and vanilla flavors. Zaxby’s also is introducing a new Cobb Zalad to its salad line through summer’s end.

“Many of our menu items have a loyal following, some of the most popular being our milkshakes. Since being introduced, our passionate fans have pleaded with us to make flavors, like the Birthday Cake Milkshake, permanent, and it’s exciting for us to make that happen,” said Zach McLeroy, CEO and cofounder of Zaxby’s. “We are always looking for ways to stay innovative and continually enhance our guest’s experience. By upgrading our milkshake line and providing new and delicious limited-time-offerings like the Cobb Zalad, we can satisfy our guests and continue focusing on the future.”

Zaxby’s premium milkshakes are hand-blended and finished off with whipped topping. The Birthday Cake Milkshake is a cake-batter flavored milkshake mixed with festive multicolored sprinkles, blended into a delicious frozen treat. Introduced this past April, the creamy Banana Pudding Milkshake is topped with sweet vanilla wafer pieces. The Chocolate Cookie Milkshake, the only premium milkshake to be introduced for the first time to Zaxby’s guests, is blended with chocolate cookie crumbles, vanilla ice cream and rich chocolate syrup.

Joining the menu system-wide for the first time, Zaxby’s new Cobb Zalad mixes things up for guests for a limited time. The salad combines mixed greens topped with crisp cucumber, roma tomatoes, bacon, hard-boiled eggs, fried onions, cheddar and jack cheeses and fresh grilled chicken. The salad is coupled with Texas Toast and served with Lite Ranch dressing.

Continuing its entertaining “Indescribably Good” advertising campaign, Zaxby’s newest celebrity talent will be unveiled in its commercials across 48 markets throughout the chain’s 13-state operating area. Zaxby’s Facebook fans can receive an exclusive look at the commercials and celebrities at facebook.com/zaxbys or by visiting @Zaxbys.

An alternative to fast food, Zaxby’s offers its guests prepared-at-order Chicken Fingerz, Traditional or Boneless Wings, sandwiches, Zalads and Zappetizers, along with a variety of nine sauces ranging from Wimpy and Tongue Torch to Nuclear and Insane. Childhood friends Zach McLeroy and Tony Townley hatched the Athens, Ga.-based chain in 1990 to provide a fun, relaxing atmosphere that would keep guests coming back for more.
