Since opening the East Coast’s first Zinburger Wine & Burger Bar in Clifton, New Jersey six years ago to much fanfare, stellar reviews and packed crowds, the growing brand is receiving industry recognition for its performance and potential.
The upscale boutique burger brand was recently named to Full Service Restaurant Magazine’s “The Top 50 Emerging Restaurant Chains,” which features the top 50 high potential, performance-proven full-service brands with fewer than 50 locations.
According the FSR Magazine, the brands selected are emergent chains, those that have a growing presence and a penchant for progress.
“The FSR 50 recognizes multi-unit full-service restaurant brands with more than five locations but fewer than 50—and each of the brands has proven performance as well as potential for sustained success,” says Connie Gentry, editor of FSR magazine. “In naming the top 50 emerging chains, we considered a variety of factors including menu innovation, sales growth, brand expansion, and support for their communities. Chef-driven menus that encompass food as well as beverage are a common thread among the restaurants selected.”
Zinburger, which offers gourmet burgers combined with perfectly paired wine selections, has developed an almost fanatical customer following who enjoy made-to-order gourmet burgers, hand-dipped shakes and floats, decadent pies and 25 wine varieties.
The brand recently opened two new restaurants in Edison and Jersey City, New Jersey in the last two months. A Hanover, Maryland location is slated to open in the fall.
