Multiple “Fun-raising” Efforts Planned with Goal of $1 Million for Camp Sunshine

Over the past 10 years, Tropical Smoothie Café has donated $3.7 million to Camp Sunshine – the Maine-based organization devoted to providing a happy camp experience to children with life-threatening illnesses and their families, completely free of charge. Tropical Smoothie Café will continue its spirit of giving by offering a free 24 oz. Jetty Punch Smoothie on National Flip Flop Day, June 17th, from 2 to 7pm to any guest visiting a café location while wearing flip flops. The goal—raise $1 Million for Camp Sunshine.

“National Flip Flop Day is the single most important day of the year to Tropical Smoothie Café,” explained Jennie Hong, Senior Director of Brand Marketing and Strategy for Tropical Smoothie Café. “We’re planning for 2016 to be one of our most successful yet in terms of giving back to children in need.”

OTHER “FUN RAISING OPPORTUNITIES”

Now through June 30th, Tropical Smoothie Café will also offer paper flip flops for donations between $1 and $4, as well as $10 limited-edition re-usable mugs, featuring artwork designed by a previous Camp Sunshine camper. All proceeds from the mug purchases go directly to Camp Sunshine. Also new this year is a $5 Flip Flop Key Fob which gives guests a 30% discount at feelgoodz.com – an all-natural flip-flop company that is joining with Tropical Smoothie Café for the 2016 fundraising effort.   Also, Feelgoodz will be donating 10% of all purchases made with key fob codes to Camp Sunshine.
