New Seasonal Flavor Hits the Handles October 23rd
16 Handles (http://www.16handles.com), today’s most innovative frozen yogurt brand, is raising a pint to fall with a new craft beer-inspired frozen yogurt: Oktoberfest Stout.
Oktoberfest Stout puts a new spin on artisan flavor by merging the dessert-like base notes of Oatmeal Stout craft beer with farm-fresh dairy. The result is a creamy and earthy blend of Fro-Yo with familiar hints of hops and barley. Oktoberfest Stout is low fat, and pairs artfully with chopped peanuts, 16 Handles’ proprietary Coney Island Crunch mix, and tastes even more delicious in a waffle cone bowl.
The new flavor, which contains hints of stout, marks the tenth in 16 Handles’ Artisan Collection, an assortment of delicious, high-quality self-serve frozen yogurt flavors thoughtfully crafted by culinary chefs and experts.
Oktoberfest Stout is available beginning October 23, 2013 in limited-edition batches at all 16 Handles locations.
“Nothing speaks to artisan flavor as much as an ice-cold hand crafted brew,” says Solomon Choi, 16 Handles’ founder and CE-Yo! “We’ve been looking at innovations with more broad appeal, and we’re excited to test new flavors like Oktoberfest Stout to see the response from our fan base that is consistently asking 16 Handles for more flavors and options.”
Founded in 2008 by foodservice industry expert Solomon Choi, 16 Handles was the first frozen yogurt brand to pioneer the self-serve concept in New York City. Today the company has grown to 40 locations across New York, New Jersey, Connecticut, Massachusetts, Maryland, and Florida and forecasts that 50 stores will be open by the end of 2013. Committed to sustainability, 16 Handles uses biodegradable packaging and spoons; each store plants 16 trees per day through a partnership with Trees for the Future.
