Russell Harms was awarded the “Market Leadership Award” by the brand.
Russell Harms, a 23-year veteran with Checkers, won the “Market Leadership Award” at the Checkers and Rally’s National Conference 2015.
“We’re excited; it’s one of the reasons we’re continuing to open new stores,” Harms told Highlands Today.
In 2013, there were faltering Checkers locations in Tallahassee, and Harms and Josh Patillo, who owned seven Checkers in Florida, took over the Tallahassee locations. Harms took over the Checkers near Florida State University and one in another location.
“There were several franchisors that took over troubled markets over the year, so this was a recognition of the over-the-top sales increases we’ve experienced,” Harms said.
Harms is commended by the Checkers and Rally’s corporate team for his dedication to lead the brand to improve.
“His high level of engagement and valuable feedback have made all of our systems better. Not to mention, Russell is one of the most competitive folks I know,” said Jennifer Durham, Senior Vice President and Chief Development Officer for the brand.
