Popular valley poke restaurant, Ahipoki, opens fourth location in Phoenix, Arizona.
Ahipoki opened their doors to their newest location on 7th Avenue and McDowell Rd in Phoenix on April 19th, offering the free bowls to the first 100 people in line.
In April of 2016, Ahipoki was the first restaurant to introduce the poke bowl concept to Arizona. The location at 7th Ave and McDowell brings the total to four locations including their first store in Scottsdale, then adding Chandler in 2016 with Tempe opening at the ASU campus in March 2017.
In celebration of opening, the Phoenix location at 1515 N 7th Avenue Phoenix, AZ will offer 50% off bowls all day long on April 29.
Poke, a Hawaiian based dish featuring diced sushi grade fish like ahi tuna, salmon, shrimp and yellowtail garnished with vegetables and exotic toppings like daikon sprouts, seaweed salad and masago served over a bowl of rice is the quick serve industry’s hottest new concept.
“We’re thrilled to have opened our fourth location in just one year in the valley and are excited for our Gilbert, Cityscape and 20th and Camelback locations which are opening later this summer!”, explained Jason Jantzen.
Ahipoki Bowl Arizona, LLC and Bad Dog Concepts are owned by Michael Zimmerman and Jason Jantzen. Zimmerman also owns Republic West Home, a twenty year old construction company specializing in remodeling and restaurant build-outs. Jantzen is owner of Phoenix Marketing Associates, a top marketing and PR firm in Scottsdale with a long track record of successes in marketing within the restaurant and hospitality industries.

The Ahipoki Bowl concept was born out of the desire of a restaurant group wanting to bring a much needed health-conscious California seafood restaurant with a south pacific flair to its customers.
