Aurelio’s Pizza, Chicago’s first and the nation’s fifth pizza chain, announces partnership with former Chicago Blackhawks player, U.S. Hockey Hall of Fame member, and fan favorite Jeremy Roenick.
“We are excited to partner with Jeremy as our official Aurelio’s Pizza brand ambassador for several reasons,” explained Aurelio’s President, Joe Aurelio. “Jeremy is one of the most fan friendly athletes in not just hockey, but in professional sports. He holds the same values that we do at Aurelio’s, always treat your customers like family and give back to your community.”
The renowned family pizza chain founded in the suburbs of Chicago with franchises all over the country, with 42 franchise locations in six states, and three family-owned pizzerias in Chicagoland is proud to partner with Roenick. In his 20-year National Hockey League career, Roenick played for the Blackhawks for eight year, and currently ranks ninth in team history in points (596), seventh in goals (267) and 13th in assists (329).
“You know I’ve been eating Aurelio’s Pizza for 28 years,” said former NHL player and Aurelio’s Brand Ambassador Jeremy Roenick. “I’m a big pizza guy, I love Aurelio’s homemade dough, homemade sauce, homemade Italian sausage, and 100% real mozzarella. We have some fun and exciting events planned for Aurelio’s and hockey fans planned.”
Aurelio’s Pizza will host events and contests with Roenick throughout the year. Fans will have an opportunity for a meet and greet as Roenick celebrity bar tends or can enter to win an Ultimate Hockey Experience. With a history as rich and entrenched in the community as the pizza it’s famous for, the very first Aurelio’s restaurant opened on Ridge Road in Homewood, IL as the pride and joy of Joseph A. Aurelio, Jr. who decided to give it a go as a restaurateur at the age of 26. With its legendary “old oven” dating back to 1959 in its Homewood location, Aurelio’s was one of the pioneers in the concept of the Family Pizzeria in the United States and helped to launch pizza into the American lexicon. Since that time, Aurelio’s has become one of Chicagoland’s claims to fame. And, transplanted Chicagoans all over the map have helped to bring their favorite pizzeria franchise to 42 locations across six states, growing a strong fan base for the taste of Aurelio’s. www.AureliosPizza.com
