Australian Winemaker Mike Brown of Kalyra Winery Announces the Launch of "239"

A Revolutionary Fortified Wine for Restaurateurs Who Want Innovative Cocktails Without the Need for a Liquor License

Australian Winemaker Mike Brown of Kalyra Winery Announces the Launch of "239"Kalyra Winery is excited to announce the launch of 239, a fortified wine (23.9% alcohol) that will be used to replace vodka or gin to make innovative wine cocktails. The official launch date for 239 Rose and 239V is March 10th, 2017.

Mike Brown believes the 239 wine mixer will provide restaurateurs the ability to add unique cocktails to their drink menus, thus providing additional revenues without the costly expense of getting a liquor license and stocking large quantities of different liquor types.

239 wine is the shapeshifter of wine products and can be mixed with anything from tonic to fruit mixers, lemonade, soda and Red Bull allowing for innovation, fun and customization to complement the individual restaurant’s menu offerings.  Currently available in two flavors; a Grenache Blanc and a Rose flavor.

“239” is the evolution of wine…changing the way we think about wine cocktails.

Kalyra Winery is located in the heart of the Santa Ynez Valley. Famous for its inclusion in the Sideways movie, Kalyra’s winemaker Mike Brown has been long known for his varied line of products including sparkling and dessert wines.
