Located in the Sundance Square Plaza, Del Frisco’s Grille offers an innovative twist on American comfort classics along with local fare and an extensive wine list
Mark S. Mednansky, CEO of Del Frisco’s Restaurant Group, is pleased to announce that its award-winning Del Frisco’s Grille is now open in Fort Worth. Already hitting the mark with a Del Frisco’s Double Eagle Steak House on Main Street, the Fort Worth Del Frisco’s Grille is adjacent to Sundance Square Plaza, a 35-block retail and entertainment district in downtown. Del Frisco’s Restaurant Group is based in Southlake, Texas and operates 38 restaurants across the country.
“Opening Del Frisco’s Grille in Fort Worth is so exciting for us, and Sundance Square is an ideal location in the heart of the city’s bustling cultural scene,” said Mark S. Mednansky, CEO of Del Frisco’s Restaurant Group. “We have a close connection with our loyal guests at Del Frisco’s Double Eagle Steak House in Fort Worth and we’re thrilled to welcome our extended ‘family of friends’ to Del Frisco’s Grille. This is truly the best place in town to come in with friends for a great glass of wine and steak or a local beer and BBQ Beef Flatbread.”
The menu at Del Frisco’s Grille takes the traditional bar and grill to new heights, using bold flavors, regional ingredients and local flair in many of its dishes. In 2012, Del Frisco’s Grille was honored by Nation’s Restaurant News as the winner of the 18th annual Hot Concepts Award.
Russ Huey is at the helm as executive chef of Del Frisco’s Grille in Fort Worth and welcomes guests with market fresh, regional dishes such as Stone Ground Grits with Cajun Lobster Sauce, Pepper Jack Tamales and BBQ Beef Flatbread. Chef Huey also features Del Frisco’s Grille favorites that are easy to share with friends: Cheesesteak Egg Rolls, Ahi Tacos and Pimento Cheese Fritters. The menu is rounded out with a selection of prime steaks, hearty salads, formidable sandwiches and chef-inspired entrees. Even late-night revelers will get up early for a decadent brunch at the Grille that includes an out-of-this-world Red Velvet Belgian Waffle and Chicken Fried Steak & Eggs with Chorizo Gravy.
With 350 selections from the Grille’s sleek “wine wall,” Del Frisco’s Grille attracts guests with a wide variety of choices that appeal to every palate from the adventurous to the traditional. Del Frisco’s Director of Wine, David O’Day, has carefully selected wines from established and up-and-coming regions in the world, creating an unparalleled and adventurous wine list, surprisingly more extensive than those found in a traditional bar and grill.
The two-story Del Frisco’s Grille spans 10,800 square feet in the Commerce Building in Sundance Square, including a large patio, perfect for outdoor dining. A new focal point for Fort Worth, the Sundance Square Plaza is flanked by two new buildings, The Westbrook on the west and The Commerce to the east. Along 3rd Street, the north side of the plaza is framed by the historic Jett Building and a new multi-purpose pavilion. On the south side of the plaza, a double allee of trees defines the nearly one-acre site.
Designed by David M. Schwarz Architects, Del Frisco’s Grille in Fort Worth features a blend of industrial and warm elements creating an atmosphere that is simultaneously stylish and relaxed. Two energetic bars create a buzz throughout the restaurant and set the stage for an exciting dining experience, while the patio provides the perfect perch to catch a glimpse of the action on the Plaza.
“We have worked hard to create a restaurant that offers the perfect balance of outstanding food, friendly and attentive service, and most importantly, genuine hospitality,” added General Manager Kenneth Davis. “This is the perfect place to come for girls’ night out, a casual date, or to stop by after a TCU game.”
