Mark S. Mednansky , CEO of Del Frisco’s Restaurant Group, is delighted to announce that the company will expand the presence of its award-winning Del Frisco’s Grilles with the opening of two new locations in Dallas-Fort Worth. Del Frisco’s Restaurant Group is based in Southlake, Texas just outside Dallas – and operates more than 30 restaurants across the country. The new Del Frisco’s Grilles, which are scheduled to open later this year, will be in Fort Worth’s Sundance Square plaza and in Southlake Town Square, which is located in the affluent Dallas suburb of Southlake – just minutes from the home office of Del Frisco’s Restaurant Group. The company already owns three restaurants in Dallas-Fort Worth: Del Frisco’s Double Eagle Steak House on Main Street in Fort Worth, Del Frisco’s Double Eagle Steak House in Dallas, and Del Frisco’s Grille in Dallas’ trendy Uptown neighborhood.
Del Frisco’s Grille is an exciting new eatery dishing up creative twists on American comfort classics. The menu at Del Frisco’s Grille takes the traditional bar and grill to new heights, using bold flavors, regional ingredients and local flair in many of its dishes. Del Frisco’s Grille was honored by Nation’s Restaurant News as the winner of the 2012 Hot Concepts Award.
“As a Texas-based company, we’re thrilled to be expanding Del Frisco’s Grille in our hometown market,” said Mark S. Mednansky , CEO of Del Frisco’s Restaurant Group. “With the addition of these new locations of Del Frisco’s Grille, we’ll be able to better serve the thriving North Texas area. Del Frisco’s Grille makes for a wonderful gathering place for family and friends, and the perfect spot to enjoy prime steaks or shareable dishes with a nice glass of wine or a local beer.”
Slated to open in fall 2013, the Fort Worth Del Frisco’s Grille will be located in the Sundance Square plaza, a 35-block retail and entertainment district in the heart of the city’s downtown corridor. The plaza will be flanked by two new buildings currently under construction, The Westbrook on the west and The Commerce to the east, which is where Del Frisco’s Grille will be located. The north side of the plaza will be framed by the historic Jett Building and a new multi-purpose pavilion and on the south side of the plaza, a double allee of trees will define the nearly one-acre site. Designed to offer a dramatic and open-feel setting, the layout of the 9,000 square foot, two-story restaurant will include mezzanine seating, and a large patio on the ground floor, perfect for outdoor dining. The space will also incorporate both an indoor and outdoor bar on the ground floor, along with an additional bar on the second story.
The Southlake location of Del Frisco’s Grille will join Southlake Town Square, a vibrant and charming open air shopping, dining and retail development in the affluent Dallas suburb of Southlake. Open since 1999, the 130-acre area boasts over 120 specialty retail shops and restaurants, a movie theatre, hotel, offices, government buildings, and residential brownstones. The 8,000 square foot Del Frisco’s Grille will be located in the heart of the action on the Northeast corner of North Carroll Avenue and East Southlake Boulevard. The free-standing two-story building will feature a large patio on the first floor with a fireplace, and an expansive bank of windows adjacent to the bar and dining area. The second story will also feature a patio offering dining and lounge seating. The restaurant is slated to open in winter 2013.
Del Frisco’s offers a wide selection of classics that are meant to be shared, including favorites such as Seared Asian Tuna Salad, Cheesesteak Egg Rolls and Wood Oven-Baked Flatbreads. The menu is rounded out with a selection of prime steaks, hearty salads, and formidable sandwiches. Regulars at the Grille always save room for dessert. Del Frisco’s is known for its Lemon Doberge – a memorable, towering six-layer confection made from scratch daily and frosted with three different icings. Chocolate lovers will love the sinfully rich Nutella Bread Pudding. Even late-night revelers will get up early for a decadent brunch at the Grille that includes an out-of-this-world Red Velvet Belgian Waffle and Chicken Fried Steak & Eggs with Chorizo Gravy.
With 500 selections from the Grille’s sleek “wine wall,” Del Frisco’s Grille offers a wide variety of choices that appeal to every palate from the adventurous to the traditional. Del Frisco’s Director of Wine, David O’Day, has carefully selected wines from established and up-and-coming regions in the world, creating an unparalleled and adventurous wine list, surprisingly more extensive than those found in a traditional bar and grill. A fun addition to the local nightlife, the bar at Del Frisco’s Grille gets the party going with imaginative, memorable cocktails including The Kilt Lifter and Apt. 5D – plus shots on tap like The Honey Badger.
In Fort Worth, Del Frisco’s Grille will be located at 420 Commerce Street and in Southlake, the restaurant will be located at 1200 E. Southlake Boulevard. There are other Del Frisco’s Grilles located in New York, Washington DC, Dallas, Atlanta and Phoenix and a location in Houston will open in March.
