On Saturday, October 24th the top five winners from the local round of Bar Louie’s 8th annual “Rock the Tot” tater tot eating contest will descend upon Bar Louie Cleveland to compete in the National Championship. The festivities begin at 7 p. m. sharp so come down early and get a good seat for the best 3 minutes of Tater Tot action in the world.
The finalists’ journey began on October 8th as Bar Louie locations around the country hosted their local round of “Rock the Tot” tater tot eating contests, where solo competitors faced off in a challenge to eat as many tater tots possible in three minutes. Every location crowned their own local champion, the local results were compiled and the top five winners were determined. The finalists a: Ian Hickman from Bar Louie-Crystal City, VA, David Wood from Bar Louie–Poconos, Wilkes-Barre, PA, Pete Maurizio from Bar Louie-Station Square, Pittsburgh, PA, Mark Kolbusz, Bar Louie-Geneva, OH, and Raymond Maas from Bar Louie-Grand Rapids, MI.
Courtesy of Bar Louie, the competitors are flown to Cleveland to compete in the National Championship. In addition to vying for the World Record and being crowned the Bar Louie 2015 Rock the Tot Champion the winner will also receive a $500 gift card, free tater tots for life and a “Tater Caster” Guitar Trophy.
