Phoenix-based BRAVO, an app to tip or pay that is changing the mobile payment industry, has teamed up with Off The Menu, a mobile app that features secret menu items from restaurants, bars and cafes across North America, to host a culinary-themed event – BRAVO’s Off the Menu Throwdown from 6 to 10 pm on Saturday, January 7 at the Wrigley Mansion, 2501 E. Telawa Trail in Phoenix.
Hosted by NBC’s Jeff Dye, this high-energy head to head Throwdown event will feature three teams led by Celebrity Chefs competing to create a new secret menu item that will be judged on by the attendees via the BRAVO app. The winning item will be featured in the Off The Menu app, along with becoming an actual secret menu item at the winning chef’s restaurant.
Chef Aaron May, who has made numerous appearances on The Food Network, headlines the event with Chef Matt Carter, the driving force behind The Mission, Zinc Bistro, The House Brasserie and the Fat Ox.
A portion of the evenings’ proceeds will benefit the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society, Arizona Chapter.
Tickets for this event will be sold thru the BRAVO Tip or Pay app. During the event, guests will be able to interact with the app by donating to the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society, vote for their favorite chef’s dish, purchase raffle & drink tickets and even send a comment to their favorite celebrity attending the event.
After the competition, attendees can enjoy the rest of the evening with live music and great food, including smaller versions of the secret menu dishes.
