Fast Casual Restaurant Chain provides lunch to 28 children and 11 volunteers at BURGERFI in West Palm Beach
Fast casual restaurant BURGERFI recently partnered with Feeding South Florida, the leading domestic hunger relief organization in South Florida, and HomeSafe, a Feeding South Florida partner agency dedicated to protecting victims of child abuse and domestic violence, to host 28 children and 11 volunteers for lunch at their City Place, West Palm Beach restaurant.
“We jumped at the opportunity to host Feeding South Florida and HomeSafe,” said Daniel Collins, certified franchise executive, BURGERFI. “It’s a great way to not only serve these amazing kids a delicious lunch, but to also do our part in supporting Feeding South Florida’s mission to end hunger in South Florida.”
BURGERFI, known for their dedication to high quality food and environmentally friendly best practices, served visiting children the chain’s signature all-natural hamburgers and fresh cut fries while they enjoyed playing and mingling in BURGERFI’s West Palm Beach CityPlace restaurant.
“Thanks to the generosity of BURGERFI, Feeding South Florida was able to provide a fun experience for the clients we serve at our partner agency, Home Safe,” said Paco Velez, president and chief executive officer at Feeding South Florida. “BURGERFI’s partnership is the perfect example of how the community and food industry can come together to address the critical issue of hunger in South Florida.”
Established in 2011, BURGERFI is among the nation’s fastest-growing restaurant chains, with 75 U.S. locations. International development is now under way in Mexico City, Mexico, Panama City Panama and London, United Kingdom with openings expected in late 2015 or early 2016. The better burger concept was founded by gourmet chefs committed to serving fresh food of the highest quality. In fact, the brand uses only 100% natural Angus beef patties and its “Never Ever Program” ensures no steroids, antibiotics, growth hormones, chemicals or additives are ever used. BURGERFI’s made-in-house menu favorites include the VegeFi burger, Vienna and Kobe-style hot dogs, hand-cut French fries and onion rings, frozen custard, and natural sugar cane sodas. Less burger joint, more five-star restaurant, there are no shortcuts at BURGERFI – with all recipes created from natural, fresh ingredients that require team members to cut chop, mix and prepare daily.
