Capriotti’s Sandwich Shop introduces “The Greatest Sandwich in America” to the state of North Carolina today with their 88th location. Residents of Wilmington can celebrate the arrival of nationally renowned gourmet sub shop, famous for their 36 year tradition of in-house roasted turkey and roast beef. Franchisees Tony Karboski and Connie Mearkle will own and operate the new shop opening in their home community of Wilmington.

Capriotti’s is famous for The Bobbie, voted “Greatest Sandwich in America” by thousands of AOL readers and crafted with a mixture of hand-pulled light and dark turkey meat,  cranberry sauce, homemade stuffing and touch of mayo on a freshly baked roll. With recent accolades including one of USA Today’s “10 Great Places to Bite Into a Surprising Sandwich” and “Best of” awards in multiple markets including, Dallas, San Diego, Eastern Shores, Las Vegas and their home state, Delaware, Capriotti’s will add a flavorful touch to Wilmington with signature subs such as the Capastrami, made with hot pastrami, Swiss cheese, Russian dressing and cole slaw and the hot Cheesesteak with premium grilled steak and melted white American Cheese. For a fresh twist on Capriotti’s same great ingredients, guests can indulge in a hand tossed salad, such as the Chopped Italian Salad, made with mixed greens, salami, capacolla, pepper ham, provolone cheese, garbanzo beans, black olives, tomatoes and diced cucumbers.
