The Flemington, NJ Cheeburger Cheeburger, a family-run business owned and operated by Frank, Frank Jr., Stacy and Christine Aversa, is set to expand; adding the first bakery and ice cream parlor in the country for the well-known burger brand. The 2,800 square foot addition will have a bakery with four full-time bakers on staff and approximately 30 seats for customers. The ice cream parlor will have 16 flavors of Edy’s Grand ice cream and 22 flavors of Uncle Louie G’s Italian Ice along with frozen yogurt and soft serve ice cream. Traditional Cheeburger Cheeburger favorites like the signature Mousse Mountain dessert and the banana split will still be available.
Cheeburger Cheeburger currently has seven locations in New Jersey, plus the Newark Airport and the Aversas will be opening their second New Jersey franchise, located in Green Brook, NJ and one set to open in Chalfont, PA in the coming days. Frank Aversa serves as the leader of the New Jersey Group of Cheeburger Cheeburger franchisees and Stacy is a graduate of The Culinary Institute of America. Frank stated, “This has been a very busy year. A first-of-its-kind remodel and two new openings is a major undertaking and I am excited to bring this vision to the community. Cheeburger Cheeburger hasn’t done this sort of format before and it is quite a transformation. Whether you like jelly doughnuts, cannolis, cupcakes, baked pastries, pies or cookies ours will be the freshest and they are perfectly paired with a cappuccino or latte.”
The brand is well-known for their “Invent Your Own Taste” menu, including five burger sizes from The Classic to the 20 oz. 100% Angus Famous Pounder that allows for personalization through unlimited toppings. Customers that finish the burger can have their picture on the “Wall of Fame.” Following in this same tradition, Stacy said, “Our bakery will have a cupcake challenge for those brave enough to try. We are all about building things – burgers, desserts, the most loyal customers around and memories. We are still the great Cheeburger Cheeburger that everybody loves – we are just supersized.”
The Flemington location will remain open during the remodel which will be open soon. The bakery will take special orders for cakes, pies and cookie trays along with custom cupcakes.
