Expanded program to award 175 scholarships to high school seniors
The Church’s Partners Foundation is growing the Church’s Scholars Program to 18 states and adding 125 more scholarship opportunities for high school seniors. The Foundation launched the community outreach initiative in 2014 with a pilot program in San Antonio, TX, the home of Church’s Chicken founder George W. Church. The 2015 program will award $175,000 in scholarships to help students pursue their college degrees. The deadline for applying is February 27, 2015.
The Church’s Scholars Program will award 175 $1,000 scholarships to high school seniors in participating states: Alabama, Arkansas, Arizona, California, Florida, Georgia, Illinois, Indiana, Louisiana, Michigan, Missouri, Mississippi, North Carolina, New Mexico, Nevada, Oklahoma, Tennessee or Texas.
“The success of our premiere program spurred us to significantly expand the Church’s Scholars Program. This growth signals our firm commitment to education and students,” said Edward Brett, President of the Church’s Partners Foundation. “It is our privilege to assist the families and communities in which we serve. We are fortunate to have resounding support for this program from our local restaurants and our fans. Together, we can provide life changing opportunities for students.”
