Johnny Rockets has announced a franchise agreement with finance veterans Roxana Garces and Jaime Lopez to open 10 Johnny Rockets restaurants in Colombia over the next 10 years. Their first location is slated for Bogota, the nation’s capital that has a strong affinity for US brands and boasts an impressive cadre of American retail and dining establishments.
“As the second most populated country in South America with more than 45 million residents, Colombia represents a very viable market for our iconic, all-American brand,” said Steve Devine, President of Johnny Rockets International. “The Colombian people are very receptive to our culture, the economy is conducive to growth, and we have two franchise partners who are passionate about bringing Johnny Rockets to their country. We see tremendous opportunities here, as well as in Brazil, Peru and Ecuador where we’ve also signed franchise agreements over the past year.”
Prior to becoming Johnny Rockets franchise partners, husband and wife Garces and Lopez were stock brokers in the institutional and private banking arenas, respectively, for more than 23 years. The keen business savvy, attention to detail, and dedication to delivering customer satisfaction that they honed while in the finance industry will serve them well in this new business venture.
“Jaime and I are thrilled to represent a much-loved, nostalgic brand that brings joy to people and a smile to their faces,” explained Garces. “At Johnny Rockets, it’s not just about enjoying a great Hamburger and the best Shakes in the world. It’s about the experience you receive every time you step foot into the restaurant – from the twirled straws and dancing servers, to the timeless music and warm ambiance. It’s the perfect place to savor a delicious meal and take a break from the complicated world we all live in.”
