Dickey’s Barbecue is opening its new location in Elk Grove tomorrow, Thursday, March 22. The first 100 customers in line will receive a free pulled pork big barbecue sandwich.
“I am excited to be bringing the art of great barbecue to Elk Grove,” said Katzenbarger. “People are excited we are opening and they keep telling me that we are definitely overdue.”
The restaurant, at 5110 Laguna Blvd, will be open from 11:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. This new store is located across the street from Safeway and at the cross street of Laguna and Franklin Blvd.
“Dickey’s is such a great concept encompassing two fundamental factors; quick serve and it’s great barbecue,” said local franchise owner Jared Katzenbarger. “There isn’t much barbecue in my area.”
Dickey’s Barbecue Pit opened its first location in Dallas in 1941. Dickey’s began franchising in 1994 and has continued to grow across the country. Dickey’s currently has more than 200 locations in 36 states nationwide.
