First 100 Guests in Line Oct. 2 at Participating Corner Bakery Cafe Locations Receive Mug with 25-Cent Coffee Refills for a Year
Guests will soon have more than delicious food to smile about at Corner Bakery Cafe. For the second year in a row, the restaurant is celebrating World Smile Day with a smile-inducing giveaway. The first 100 guests in line at participating Corner Bakery Cafe locations Friday, October 2 will receive a free Corner Bakery Cafe smiley face mug, with discounted coffee refills for a year.
Guests who receive the mugs will be treated to 25-cent hand-roasted coffee refills for a year when they present the mugs on future visits to participating Corner Bakery Cafe. The mugs are bright yellow and feature the classic smiley face image.
“Our smiley face mug giveaway was so popular last year, we are thrilled to bring it back and put a smile on even more faces this World Smile Day,” said Justin Lambeth, Chief Marketing Officer of Corner Bakery Cafe.

The origin of World Smile Day traces back to 1963 when commercial artist Harvey Ball created the smiley face, one of the most iconic symbols of happiness and goodwill. Ball thought everyone should devote one day each year to smiles and acts of kindness, and in 1999, declared the first Friday in October World Smile Day.
