Expanding Rotisserie Chain Also Recognized by Consumers as a “Most Loved Brand”
Cowboy Chicken, the fast-growwing restaurant chain known for its wood-fired rotisserie chicken, has been named one of FastCasual’s Top 100 Movers & Shakers in the fast casual restaurant segment. This marks the sixth consecutive year that Cowboy Chicken has been recognized on this prestigious list for its growth and sales accomplishments and technological innovation.
The designation lauds Cowboy Chicken for its significant growth over the last several years, pointing to a 30-store franchise agreement announced late last year that will see the chain expand into California. FastCasual further notes that Cowboy Chicken is poised to capitalize on that momentum with the recent introduction of a new restaurant prototype and branding. The 21-unit company has development agreements in place that will result in 110 restaurants across the United States.
The chain’s entry also calls out the 2017 launch of the Cowboy Chicken app, which offers guests the convenience of ordering ahead, finding nearby locations, tracking their purchases and saving payment options. Guests can also earn a $5 credit for every $50 spent by using the app during checkout.
“We’re honored to be recognized as a mover and shaker for the sixth year in a row,” said Sean Kennedy, president and CEO of Cowboy Chicken. “We believe our continued focus on fresh, all-natural rotisserie chicken, served by friendly, approachable staff in a welcoming and comfortable environment sets us apart from the competition and positions us for even greater success to come.”
The award comes on the heels of another recognition from Foodable, which named Cowboy Chicken to its list of Top 25 Most Loved Brands. This list measures consumer sentiment on food, service and overall brand experience. Social media conversation was analyzed for more than 167,000 restaurant and hospitality brands to create the rankings.
Cowboy Chicken serves all-natural, hormone-free rotisserie chickens that are hand-seasoned in store, marinated for 24 hours and then slowly roasted for two hours over a real wood-burning fire. Other dishes include signature sour cream tomatillo chicken enchiladas, abundant scratch-made sides such as Twice Baked Potaters, Baked Mac & Chheese, Ranchero Beans and seasonal cobblers baked in-house daily. Cowboy Chicken’s hearty and healthy dishes are available during lunch and dinner for dine-in, take out, catering and delivery.
