Cupcakes Gourmet, the first couture cupcake shop in the Philadelphia area now with three locations, is raising funds for PA Breast Cancer Coalition from October 15th through the 22nd by donating all sales from every pair of its white chocolate raspberry cupcake.
The milky sweet cupcakes feature Madagascar bourbon vanilla cupcake with a dollop of pink raspberry buttercream frosting dipped in a creamy Belgian white chocolate couverture and pink cream filling inside a buttercream cake. They are available in two cup sizes — mini and regular. The cupcakes, which will be sold in pairs during fundraising week, resembles breast-like attributes to highlight the importance of breast cancer awareness.
“”Many of our guests in the past had commented that our white chocolate raspberry cupcakes looked like breasts so we felt it appropriate to use that flavor for our fundraiser for PA Breast Cancer Coalition,” said Maki Garcia-Evans, owner and executive pastry chef at Cupcakes Gourmet. “There is no better way to enjoy a cupcake than knowing that every bite makes a difference for breast cancer education and treatment.”
