CUPS Frozen Yogurt – That’s Hot, the beach-themed self-serve fro-yo concept, raised $12,500 for national non-profit organization Bright Pink to raise money during October’s Breast Cancer Awareness Month.
Guests who donated $1 or more at any of the 23 CUPS locations received a pink wristband and CUPS coupons valued at $9.
“Bright Pink is the only national organization that focuses on the prevention and early detection of breast and ovarian cancer in young women,” said Rick Barbrick, CUPS co-founder. “So the money donated is particularly satisfying as young women ages 18-24 is CUPS largest customer group.”
Since opening the first CUPS in Clifton, New Jersey in 2010, CUPS has taken the fro-yo industry by storm, becoming the local hot spot for teenagers and adults alike who make their own fro-yo concoctions choosing from 24 yogurt flavors and over 50 different toppings and three sauces.
The Exchange, a popular Yahoo Finance blog, named CUPS as one of “The Most Popular Fast-Food Outlets You Haven’t Heard Of (Yet).” With 23 locations in New Jersey, New York, California, Virginia and Florida, CUPS is one of the fastest growing frozen yogurt concepts in the U.S. Over the past year, CUPS has signed 10 area development agreements representing 45 franchise units.
