Real-time updates & smart lockers to be secret sauce for winning customer service experience
Curbit, a technology company specializing in AI-driven dynamic order throttling for restaurants, announced its strategic partnership with Chekt, a modular food locker pickup system designed to automate and control handoff for digital order pickup. This collaboration will streamline brand interactions with guests, offering an elevated guest experience and a comprehensive feedback loop.
“This partnership truly strengthens our shared ecosystem,” said Co-Founder and Chief Revenue Officer Scott Siegel of Curbit. “Food lockers enhance the pick-up experience by providing a convenient option for order retrieval, promoting efficiency, reducing wait times and managing volume. We’re excited to partner with Chekt in leveling up the customer experience with real-time order progress and accurate ready times.”
This integration combines Curbit’s AI-powered real-time order status with Chekt’s smart food locker pods – a system that organizes, secures and streamlines food pick-up. Once the order is ready, guests receive an SMS to pick up in the locker area, including prompts to unlock their pod on arrival. This empowers restaurants to:
- Update guests on order progress and pickup instructions so they know exactly when and where to pick up their order.
- Streamline front-of-house staff responsibilities, reducing the need for customer interactions concerning order readiness.
- Reduce pickup errors and theft while facilitating contactless pickup.
“Our locker pods revolutionize food service operations by simplifying employee workflows and offering secure pick-up,” said Nate Shrader, Chekt business leader. “Curbit’s AI-powered dynamic order throttling enables us to optimize the customer experience.”
A recent successful integration was implemented at Zippy’s, the Hawaiian diner institution with 23 locations in Oahu, Maui, Hawaii Island and Las Vegas.
“For guests wanting lightning-fast access to their Zippy’s order, our new Chekt/Curbit integration has it covered,” said Zippy’s VP of Information Technology Anthony Mejia. “Our fans can skip the wait and confusion, track their order in real-time and unlock their locker with ease – all thanks to a simple SMS. Plus, it frees up our friendly staff to make every guest feel special!”
