How to activate this offer:
- Find your dad. He’s probably cracking open a cold one with the boys, out by the grill or pretending to fix something in the garage. If you can’t find him, try calling him on his flip phone.
- Take him to your closest Potbelly. Find a shop at Potbelly.com.
- Have him buy lunch (because he won’t let you pay). As you walk up to the register together, grab a cookie and say, “Dessert is on me, dad, since you’ve always done so much for me.” Wink at the Potbelly register operator, who will be slightly creeped out but also impressed by your cleverness.
Pro Tip: If your dad is confused, make a comment about him teaching you amazing negotiation skills, then put your hand up for a high-five.

“Our cookies are delicious, and dads are awesome, so we’re offering dads a free cookie this Father’s Day weekend,” says Brandon Rhoten, chief marketing officer of Potbelly Sandwich Shop, who, suspiciously, looks very much like a dad himself. “Did you see anyone touch this?” Rhoten continues, as he fiddles with his office thermostat. “Just put out the press release. It’s a free cookie. It doesn’t need an explanation. You don’t need a quote from me.”
Potbelly cookies are baked in-shop daily in a variety of flavors, including: oatmeal chocolate chip, sugar and chocolate brownie. The one free cookie per dad offer is available on Saturday, June 16, and Sunday, June 17, only, at participating locations.
