To celebrate the kickoff of the spring season, the Dairy Queen system, a Berkshire Hathaway (NYSE: BRK.A and BRK.B) company, is going green with the new Grasshopper Mousse Pie Blizzard Treat as the featured Blizzard of the Month for March.
With a unique, light and airy texture and an explosion of cool flavors, the Grasshopper Mousse Pie Blizzard Treat is a mouthwatering combination of mint, choco chunks, whipped topping and graham cracker pie crust crumbles blended with creamy DQ vanilla soft serve and crowned with more whipped topping! This delectable treat is available in four sizes, including the popular Mini, and also can be served in a waffle cone.
“We are excited this year to be celebrating our 75th anniversary, which we are calling a ‘Fanniversary’ because to us, it is all about our fans,” said Barry Westrum, executive vice president of Marketing for American Dairy Queen Corporation (ADQ). “Throughout this year, we will continue to roll out new menu innovations, like the Grasshopper Mousse Pie Blizzard Treat. It’s the perfect refreshing treat to ring in springtime and toast to St. Patrick’s Day.”
Many Blizzard Treat flavors, including Grasshopper Mousse Pie, can easily be made into DQ Cakes which are perfect for St. Patrick’s Day, holidays, birthdays, anniversaries and more.
Also featured on the menu in March is the Crispy Chicken Wrap $5 Buck Lunch, available daily from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. at participating locations nationwide. The Crispy Chicken Wrap includes not one but two crispy wraps served with fries, a beverage and a signature DQ sundae. For just $1 more, fans also have the option to upgrade their small sundae to a small Blizzard Treat, such as Grasshopper Mousse Pie.
Since 1985, the Dairy Queen system has been blending simple combinations of cookies, chocolates, nuts, fruits and candies with DQ soft serve to create the signature Blizzard Treat. The iconic treat has created the served upside-down Blizzard culture and since then, one-of-a-kind flavors such as Chocolate Candy Shop and Confetti Cake have delighted Dairy Queen fans.
