Texas-Based Dickey’s Barbecue is sponsoring Bridge-O-Rama on March 3 by supplying lunch for all volunteers at the bridge opening.
“The Dickey family and our restaurants have had our roots in the Dallas area since 1941,” said Roland Dickey, Jr., President of Dickey’s Barbecue Restaurants, Inc. “This is great news for the city of Dallas and we look forward to taking part in this historic celebration.”
Bridge-O-Rama is an exciting celebration of the opening of West Dallas’ Margaret Hunt Hill Bridge along the edge of the Trinity River. The bridge will connect Singleton Boulevard in West Dallas to Woodall Rogers Freeway in Downtown Dallas.
“As a company, we know that making this event a success takes the talents of many and we applaud volunteer efforts,” said Joette Young, Director of Marketing for Dickey’s Barbecue Restaurants, Inc. “We are happy to make sure they are well-fed.”
A variety of organizations from across Dallas-Fort Worth have pooled their efforts to provide engaging events and entertainment for the bridge opening. As a thank you to the community and volunteers for their efforts, Dickeys Barbecue has offered up its smokin’ barbecue and sides.
Bridge-O-Rama events started today and will run through Sunday, March 4.
