Dickey’s Barbecue Heats Up Q1 Growth

Dickey’s Barbecue Pit announced today a 93% lease growth with 29 new building leases signed in the first quarter of 2012. This is nearly double the number of leases signed in 2011. In addition, the company has reduced the average lease turn-around time from 102 to 57 days. This is a 44% increase in efficiency that leads to increased profits for franchise owners.

“We’re thrilled with our impressive first quarter growth,” said Roland Dickey, Jr., president of Dickey’s Barbecue Restaurants, Inc. “It’s an exciting time for Dickey’s Barbecue and we are encouraged to see the strong relationships between franchise owners and our real estate department.”

Dickey’s Barbecue is planning to add over 100 new locations nationwide in 2012. As part of its franchisee support system, the fast casual company offers a highly managed real estate process. The company maintains strong relationships with landlords on a regional and national level to obtain cost-effective real estate and tenant improvement options for franchise owners. Additionally, the nationally recognized barbecue brand offers flexible real estate concepts ranging from traditional free-standing restaurants to shopping center end caps or inline. They also offer non-traditional concepts such as airports, theme parks, convenience stores, and food courts.

“We have a cutting-edge business model that allows our development team to work closely with franchisees to ensure their success,” said Richard Phillips, vice president of development for Dickey’s Barbecue Restaurants, Inc.  “Our support network is phenomenal at making sure we land in great communities where we can make an impact and share our great tasting barbecue,”
