Acclaimed gourmet hot dog, sausage and burger concept reimagines classic flavors with its Absolute Wurst Sausage Series holiday entree and cocktail offerings
The season of giving is on its way, so Dog Haus wants to give sausage lovers a one-of-a-kind present. This December, their chef-driven menu adds a new twist to an American classic with the Bacon Cheeseburger Sausage. This latest addition to the Absolute Würst Sausage Series combines familiar flavors to create the ultimate comfort food. And to add even more cheer to their seasonal offerings, they’re also introducing the sweet and tart Strawberry Sour cocktail.
Available from Friday, Dec. 1 through Sunday, Dec. 31 (while supplies last), the Bacon Cheeseburger Sausage is a proprietary Creekstone Farms’ hormone- and antibiotic-free all-beef sausage made with caramelized onions, cheddar cheese, bacon, ketchup and mustard. This sausage can be customized for any palate, like every item on the Dog Haus menu. Guests can have their Bacon Cheeseburger Sausage four ways:
Würst Way - topped with lettuce, tomato, pickles and secret sauce; on grilled King’s Hawaiian rolls
Your Way - loaded with any mix of Dog Haus toppings; on grilled King’s Hawaiian rolls
Corn Dog Way - haus root beer-battered; served with secret sauce
Breakfast Way - with three sunny-side-up eggs, tots, American cheese, caramelized onions, with secret sauce; wrapped burrito-style in a grilled flour tortilla
“Every new creation in the Absolute Würst Sausage Series is made with the freshest ingredients for maximum flavor, and the Bacon Cheeseburger Sausage is no exception,” said Founding Partner Hagop Giragossian. “We continue expanding our lineup of one-of-a-kind sausages, highlighting our ongoing commitment of serving the highest quality ingredients, like our Creekstone Farms hormone- and antibiotic-free beef, through innovative chef-driven items everyone can enjoy.”
In order to make guests’ holiday season even more merry, celebrity mixologist Phil Wills created the Strawberry Sour, which combines puréed strawberries with agave syrup, lemon juice, Aperol and Smirnoff Vodka, to Dog Haus’ December offerings. The cocktail’s sweet and tart flavor brings an unexpected twist to holiday cheer. For beer drinkers, the culinary team at Dog Haus recommends pairing their Bacon Cheeseburger Sausage with their favorite pale ale.
As with every sausage introduced to the Absolute Würst Sausage Series, Dog Haus will donate $1 from the purchase of each Bacon Cheeseburger Sausage to its national charity partner, No Kid Hungry. This marks the ninth sausage in the series. To date, this charitable collaboration has helped No Kid Hungry provide more than 3.5 million meals for children in need, illustrating the brand’s unwavering commitment to help eradicate hunger. In the spirit of giving, Dog Haus will also donate $1 from each Strawberry Sour sold to No Kid Hungry, continuing the spirit of giving.
