Acclaimed gourmet hot dog, sausage and burger concept to launch a unique small batch sausage each month, with $1 of each purchase supporting No Kid Hungry
Foodies, rejoice! Dog Haus is bringing you the hottest links in 2023 with its Absolute Würst Sausage Series.
Tasked by Co-Founding Partner Hagop Giragossian to create a string of innovative sausages all year long, Dog Haus’ Würstmacher Adam Gertler is putting his freshest and wildest culinary ideas to the test. From sushi to beef and broccoli to al pastor sausages, Giragossian is weighing in on Gertler’s ideas, with the winners showing up in small batches at your local Dog Haus in the form of a different perfectly grilled sausage each month. The series launched Feb. 1 with the Nashville Hot Chicken Sausage, turning the biggest trend in chicken into the sausage it should have always been.
The Nashville Hot Chicken Sausage is made with fresh ground hormone- and antibiotic-free skin-on chicken thighs combined with Dog Haus’ popular hot spice blend to deliver a fiery kick. You are welcome to enjoy it the “Würst Way” with dill pickles and miso ranch on grilled King’s Hawaiian rolls (Gertler’s recommended build), “Your Way” by choosing your favorite toppings or as a “Sausage On A Stick” with a side of miso ranch.
“I am the Würstmacher, and I love making sausages for Dog Haus because they serve the best dogs, sausages and burgers around and they aren’t afraid to let me innovate with my meat grinder,” said Gertler. “It’s exciting to know my best creations will be shared with our guests. “These sausages are made in small batches, so you’ll want to order them quickly each month before they’re gone.”
From corned beef and cabbage just in time for St. Patrick’s Day in March to mozzarella and tomato to celebrate pizza in April, one fact remains the same each month – Dog Haus donates $1 to No Kid Hungry from every Absolute Würst Sausage Series item sold. The national charity works to end childhood hunger by ensuring that kids get the food they need in a variety of ways.
A new sausage arrives each month, with each Dog Haus location receiving approximately 200 links. Fans are encouraged to buy them early and often as they will sell out. They can also find out How The Sausage Is Made on YouTube, TikTok and Instagram with videos about the Würstmacher’s creative process and more details about the sausages that make it to the menu. Dog Haus is an award-winning concept known for its gourmet hot dogs, sausages, burgers, plant-based and fried chicken offerings, creative full bar program and The Absolute Brands (virtual concepts). Founded by longtime friends Hagop Giragossian, Quasim Riaz and André Vener, the first Dog Haus opened in Pasadena, California in 2010. Dog Haus was honored with Nation’s Restaurant News’ prestigious MenuMasters Award and has been named in Fast Casual’s Top 10 Movers and Shakers list since 2020. Most recently, Franchise Times announced the winners of its annual Zor Awards and Dog Haus came out on top – winning the prized honor of “Top Brand to Buy.” The brand continues to garner critical acclaim for its signature all beef dogs and hand-crafted sausages with no added nitrates, and 100% Black Angus beef burgers – all of which are made with hormone- and antibiotic-free meat and served on grilled King’s Hawaiian rolls. With its mission to sustainably feed everyone who walks through their doors, Dog Haus also offers a diverse lineup of plant-based burger, sausage and chicken creations. While striving to establish itself as a “haus”-hold name, the brand has helped raise enough funds from its innovative collaboration with high-profile chefs to feed over two million kids in need through its national charity partner No Kid Hungry.
