Duke Marketing, LLC., a full service marketing communications firm specializing in marketing for restaurant and retail multi-location and franchise organizations, announced Linda Duke, chief executive of Duke Marketing, will be a presenter at The Council of Hotel and Restaurant Trainers (CHART), 89th CHART conference at the Embassy Suites Napa Valley, California, February 21-24th, 2015. Duke will present, “Brand Under Fire? Effective Crisis Management for Today”, from 10:00 a.m. – Noon, Monday, February 23rd, 2015.

“We are excited to have Linda as one of our experts for our 89th CHART Conference,” said Patrick Yearout, Director of Training for Ivar’s Restaurants and CHART Board President. “Her educational session regarding crisis management is a must for any hospitality trainer to attend.”

Food allergies, wage protests, credit card database theft, and natural disasters, make it an unfortunate reality that every hotel and restaurant trainer needs to know how to manage and deal with various crisis scenarios. Understanding how to manage a crisis, whether from an unwanted video, photo or rumor on the Internet, to a credit card data breach, food-borne illness or robbery, is not for the faint of heart. Linda Duke, crisis communication expert, will share timely tips for trainers to protect their brand and reputation before it’s too late. Trainers will learn how to be ready to work with teams internally to manage any crisis. Duke will use real case studies and share “how to” for trainers to be leaders in getting their employees prepared.
