Local family to bring popular breakfast, brunch and lunch spot to Brandy Creek Commons
Eggs Up Grill, a rapidly expanding breakfast, brunch and lunch concept, will open a new restaurant in Mechanicsville, Va. this spring. Located at 6581 Mechanicsville Turnpike in Brandy Creek Commons, this is the first of two Eggs Up Grills for Franchise Partners
Shamsher Jessani, Ali-Noor Jessani and Umair Khimani. Khimani grew up in Richmond and has spent the last 15 years in management with Dairy Queen. He will act as operations manager. This will be the fourth Eggs Up Grill to open in the Richmond market. There are five Eggs Up Grills in Virginia with 13 more planned in the state.
Shamsher Jessani is an area businessman who owns convenience stores, gas stations and shopping centers in the greater Richmond region. Shamsher’s son, Ali-Noor Jessani, is a resident physician at Virginia Commonwealth University. Together with Shamsher’s nephew Khimani, the group says they are fulfilling the family’s dream of opening a restaurant in a community they love.

With indoor seating for 150, the 3,500 square-foot restaurant is designed to make guests feel at home in a light, bright and cheery atmosphere. The Mechanicsville restaurant will serve guests seven days a week from 6 a.m. to 2 p.m., with dine-in, online ordering, takeout, catering and delivery options available.
Eggs Up Grill serves its full menu open to close. Signature menu items include the founder’s recipe corned beef hash with potatoes, onions and special spices, as well as made-to-order omelets, buttery, grilled blueberry muffins, classic breakfast dishes and lunch selections including burgers, melts, salads and more. Eggs Up Grill also caters events big or small, with a menu featuring breakfast favorites like eggs, grits, home fries, biscuits and gravy and muffins. Salads and sandwiches are available for catered lunch.
With locations across the Carolinas, Georgia, Florida, Virginia, Tennessee, Alabama, Texas, Mississippi, and soon entering Ohio, Eggs Up Grill offers a rewarding experience for guests and franchise partners alike.
