Chain restaurant exec to help drive turnaround, launch new fast-casual concept
Jonathan Quinn has joined Fazoli’s, the premium Italian quick-service restaurant chain, as vice president, Marketing. Quinn brings Fazoli’s more than 15 years of brand management and marketing expertise, serving such foodservice brands as Bob Evans, Wendy’s, Long John Silver’s, Applebee’s, Damon’s Grill, White Castle, Golden Corral and T. Marzetti. His experience also includes executive positions with two marketing communications firms.
“Jon is the rare restaurant marketing leader who is both highly analytical and very creative,” said Carl Howard, president and CEO. “We’re excited about the fresh perspective he will bring to the Fazoli’s brand, as well as his contributions to the successful launch of our Venti-Tre fast-casual concept.”
Quinn holds a bachelor’s degree in economics from the University of Pittsburgh, a master’s in marketing from Pennsylvania State University and a master’s in business administration from Carnegie Mellon University.
He joins Fazoli’s amid a remarkable sales turnaround. The chain will open at least six new restaurants in the first half of 2014, along with an all-new Italian fast-casual concept, Venti-Tre, slated to open next month in Baltimore.
A family favorite for more than 25 years, Fazoli’s is America’s largest Italian quick-service chain with some 220 company and franchised restaurants. Based in Lexington, Ky., Fazoli’s is expanding throughout the country. The company is owned by Sun Capital Partners.
