Johnny Rockets has opened its first restaurant in Acton, MA – joining Burlington Mall (that celebrated its 20thanniversary last May) as the second location in Middlesex County. Restaurants at Boston Logan Airport, Six Flags New England and South Shore Plaza bring Johnny Rockets’ Massachusetts total to five.
As with the nearly 300 Johnny Rockets restaurants around the world, the Acton restaurant offers flavorful fare and friendly service in an ambiance reminiscent of feel-good Americana. Along with juicy Hamburgers, crispy American Fries (served with a ketchup smiley face), hand-spun Shakes and classic Sandwiches, the new restaurant also features localized menu options that include a New England Squealer, Pulled Pork Pickle Sandwich, Sirloin Steak Sandwich and The County Fair – using fresh produce from area farms.
“We’re thrilled to offer Acton residents and visitors delicious food and a fun dining experience that can’t help but make them smile,” said Lloyd Sugarman , a Johnny Rockets franchise partner since 1992. Lloyd and son Jason operate 16 locations in Massachusetts, Rhode Island, Minnesota, California, New York, Connecticut and Pennsylvania – partnering with Doug Colenda for the Acton and Burlington (MA), Albany (NY) and Nashville (TN) restaurants. “We’re the perfect destination before or after visiting The Faulkner House, Jones Tavern or Children’s Discovery Museum … or simply after a day of work, school or running errands. We’ve got something for everyone.”
The new restaurant boasts the same clean, contemporary design prototype that Sugarman helped design and first unveiled at his Providence Place restaurant when it was renovated in 2011. Architectural nuances include colorful neon signs, innovative graphics, two-toned red and ivory sleek vinyl upholstery, spoke lighting and other features that add visual interest and comfort. The look is trendy, yet timeless.
“Lloyd is a true visionary and a superb ambassador of the Johnny Rockets brand,” said John Fuller , CEO of Johnny Rockets. “We have every expectation that his latest restaurant will mirror the same operational excellence and emphasis on Guest satisfaction that his other locations consistently demonstrate.”
The new Johnny Rockets Acton restaurant is located at 371 Massachusetts Ave., near T.J. Maxx and Roche Bros. It is open from 11:00 a.m. – 9:00 p.m. Sunday through Thursday, and from 11:00 a.m. – 10:00 p.m. Friday and Saturday.
