Laurel and Bowie mark six locations in the state and eight in the D.C. metro area

First Watch, the nation’s leading Breakfast, Brunch and Lunch restaurant, today announced two new restaurants opening in Maryland in late 2014. The new restaurants will be located in Laurel and Bowie, joining their Maryland predecessors in Timonium, Pikesville, Rockville and Gaithersburg.

The new First Watch in Bowie will be located in the Bowie Town Center at 15606 Emerald Way and will occupy a 4,100 sq. ft. space near Macy’s and Safeway. The First Watch in Laurel will open in the Towne Centre at Laurel at 14700 Baltimore Avenue on the corner of Baltimore Avenue and Cherry Lane. The restaurant will join Regal Cinemas, Sports Authority, Old Navy and other retailers as part of the redevelopment of an existing mall, which will soon be transformed into a mixed-use destination with retail, dining, entertainment and residential housing.

“We’ve found a home in Maryland and hope to enjoy continued success as part of these two great communities,” said Chris Tomasso, chief marketing officer for First Watch. “Both Laurel and Bowie have a progressive spirit that keeps the area moving forward. First Watch is so excited to be a part of the small town charm with big city amenities that the area boasts.”

First Watch is recognized for its fresh approach to Breakfast, Brunch and Lunch and takes pride in delivering award-winning dishes using the freshest ingredients possible, including cage-free eggs, 100% fresh-squeezed orange juice, and house-made granola and salsa. Additionally, the restaurant roasts its vegetables in-house and sources local produce whenever possible.

First Watch has received more than 200 “Best Of” accolades in markets across the country, including the 2014 “MenuMasters Award” by Nation’s Restaurant News for the Pesto Chicken Quinoa Bowl. The “Daytime Café” features traditional favorites, including pancakes, omelets, salads and sandwiches, as well as signature specialties such as the Chickichanga, Healthy Turkey Omelet and Fresh Fruit Crepes.

First Watch serves its entire menu seven days a week from 7 a.m. until 2:30 p.m. The restaurant also offers guests complimentary newspapers and free Wi-Fi Internet access.
