“Daytime Café” opens restaurants in Nashville and Omaha, and announces growth plans for Lexington
Award-winning Breakfast, Brunch and Lunch restaurant First Watch today opened new restaurants in Nashville, Tenn. and Omaha, Neb., and announced plans for a third restaurant in Lexington, Ky. to open during the spring. Each restaurant will employ approximately 25 people.
The First Watch in Cool Springs is the second Nashville-area restaurant and is located at 1834 W. McEwen Drive in an end-cap space in the new Spring Creek Center in front of the Drury Plaza Hotel. The company plans to open three to five additional restaurants over the coming years throughout Nashville, including Green Hills, Belle Meade and West End near Vanderbilt University.
The First Watch in Omaha marks the concept’s debut into the local market. The restaurant is located at 1222 S. 71st St. in the Bed Bath & Beyond-anchored Shoppes at Aksarben retail center. Omaha-based Cutchall Management Company plans to open three restaurants over the next three years in Omaha as part of a multi-unit franchise agreement with First Watch. Cutchall currently operates more than 50 locations under eight different brands in Nebraska, Iowa, Kansas, Utah and Texas.
The new Hamburg-Winchester Road First Watch will be located in Hamburg Place, just off of I-75 and Winchester Road in Lexington. The 3,700 sq.ft. restaurant will occupy an end-cap space within a freestanding outparcel building and feature a patio for outdoor dining. The new restaurant is a part of a multi-unit franchise agreement with Holland Rosen Group, LLC announced in 2011 to open a total of eight restaurants throughout Lexington and Louisville by 2016.
“We look forward to continuing the exciting pace we set in 2013 with restaurant openings, and we are on target to do as well, if not better than last year.” said Chris Tomasso, chief marketing officer for First Watch. “We are excited to continue to bring our fresh approach to Breakfast, Brunch and Lunch to new and loyal foodies alike in these dynamic markets.”
The new restaurants will feature an interior design concept known as “Connect.” It connects traditional First Watch design elements with contemporary executions by maximizing natural light and incorporating color tones that convey the warm and inviting personality of the brand. The design also accentuates an open-kitchen concept, which reinforces First Watch’s honest approach to fresh food preparation.
A recipient of more than 200 “Best Of” accolades in markets across the country, the restaurant features traditional favorites including pancakes, omelets, salads and sandwiches, as well as signature specialties such as the Chickichanga, Healthy Turkey Omelet and Fresh Fruit Crepes. All menu items are freshly prepared to order and the restaurant does not use deep fryers or heat lamps.
In addition to serving unique and fresh entrées, First Watch offers its exclusive Sunrise Select® Premium Blend Coffee. The special blend is made from slow-roasted, hand-selected, high-grown Panamanian, Colombian and Mexican coffee beans.
First Watch serves its entire menu seven days a week from 7 a.m. until 2:30 p.m. The restaurant also offers guests complimentary newspapers and free Wi-Fi Internet access.
