First Watch Debuts Restaurant in Knoxville

Award-winning Breakfast, Brunch and Lunch restaurant First Watch made its debut in Knoxville today with the opening of a restaurant in Turkey Creek. The new 3,853-square-foot restaurant is located at 11682 Parkside Drive near the Publix Super Market.

The First Watch restaurant is operated by Knoxville-based Capstone Concepts, LLC as part of a multi-unit franchise agreement to open a total of eight restaurants over the next five years in Knoxville, Chattanooga, Bristol, Kingsport, Johnson City, Asheville, N.C., and Bowling Green, Ky. Capstone currently owns and operates restaurants in Tennessee, North Carolina and Kentucky.

“We’re incredibly excited about opening the First Watch in Turkey Creek. This is an outstanding brand with terrific food. The reaction from people who have eaten at one is always the same: they can’t wait to get back. We look forward to opening this restaurant and are already working on locations in Bearden and Halls. Come find out for yourself just how good it is,” said James Geib, chief operating officer for Capstone Concepts.

The new Knoxville restaurant features a 900-square-foot patio and an interior design that maximizes the natural light provided during the restaurant’s daytime hours – conveying the warm and inviting personality of the First Watch brand. The design also accentuates an open-kitchen concept, which reinforces First Watch’s honest approach to fresh food preparation.

In 2011, First Watch opened its first company-owned restaurant in Tennessee with a location in Brentwood. More recently, plans were announced to open a restaurant in the Cool Springs community of Franklin, Tenn., in early 2014.

“The First Watch brand is in the midst of an aggressive expansion. Our recent openings in Nashville and Atlanta made bringing our unique Breakfast, Brunch and Lunch concept to the Knoxville community a natural progression,” said Kevin Hall, vice president of franchising for First Watch. “We are confident in the success of this restaurant and look forward to future growth in this market with Capstone Concepts leading the way.”

A recipient of more than 200 “Best Of” accolades in markets across the country, First Watch features traditional favorites including pancakes, omelets, salads and sandwiches, as well as signature specialties such as the Chickichanga, Healthy Turkey Omelet, Fresh Fruit Crepes and Sunrise Select Premium Blend Coffee. The special blend is made from slow-roasted, hand-selected, high-grown Panamanian, Colombian and Mexican coffee beans. All menu items are freshly prepared to order and the restaurant does not use deep fryers or heat lamps.

First Watch serves its entire menu seven days a week from 7 a.m. until 2:30 p.m. The restaurant also offers guests complimentary newspapers and free Wi-Fi Internet access.
