Daytime Café introduces Kale Tonic juice and a fresh take on Eggs Benedict
First Watch, the nation’s leading Breakfast, Brunch and Lunch concept, launched its limited-time spring 2015 seasonal menu today nationwide. Like all the traditional First Watch favorites, the spring menu keeps things fresh with locally grown ingredients while introducing new, mouth-watering flavors to celebrate springtime.
First Watch guests can find the following spring offerings in addition to the traditional choices at their local First Watch for a limited time:
The Elevated Egg Sandwich – A fresh, over easy egg with bacon, Gruyere cheese, fresh smashed avocado, lemon crema and arugula on a brioche bun. Served with fresh, seasoned potatoes.
Crab Cake Benedict – Two crab cakes atop toasted Ciabatta with house-roasted tomatoes, two poached eggs, Hollandaise and fresh herbs. Served with lemon dressed greens.
Spring Alpine Frittata – A classic Italian-style omelet with roasted asparagus, thinly-shaved ham, Gruyere cheese, lemon crema and fresh herbs. Served with lemon dressed greens and a toasted Ciabatta crisp.
Alongside the restaurant’s three new menu items, First Watch is introducing another original juice from its Fresh Juice Bar, which was introduced earlier in the year. In addition to the Day Glow juice First Watch debuted in January, guests can now enjoy Kale Tonic – a blend of fresh-juiced kale, Fuji apple, cucumber and lemon.
“Our guests’ responses to our Fresh Juice Bar have been far greater than we anticipated, so we couldn’t stop after offering just one fresh juice,” said Shane Schaibly, First Watch’s corporate chef and director of culinary operations. “They also weren’t shy about letting us know how much they loved the Avocado Toast from our previous seasonal menu, which is why we decided to incorporate the popular smashed avocado recipe into our spring menu with the Elevated Egg Sandwich.”
The spring 2015 offerings will be available until Sunday, May 24.
First Watch serves its entire menu seven days a week from 7 a.m. until 2:30 p.m. The restaurant also offers guests complimentary newspapers and free Wi-Fi Internet access.
