Award-winning Breakfast, Brunch and Lunch restaurant First Watch continued its expansion in Kentucky this week with the opening of a restaurant in Lexington. The new, 3,500 sq. ft. restaurant, located at 3071 Richmond Road in the Kroger shopping plaza, is now the first restaurant in Lexington, bringing the total number of First Watch restaurants in Kentucky to three.
The First Watch restaurant is operated by the Holland Rosen Group, LLC as part of a multi-unit franchise agreement to open a total of eight restaurants throughout Lexington and Louisville over the next five years. Each restaurant is expected to employ about 25 local employees.
“As a Kentuckian, we could not be any more proud to bring this wonderful restaurant concept to the heart of the Bluegrass,” said Gary Holland, co-founder of Holland Rosen Group, LLC. “Lexington is a great city and we believe that First Watch will be a welcomed addition. It’s amazing how friendly and cooperative everyone has been throughout the construction and pre-opening process. We are truly grateful for everyone’s hospitality.”
The restaurant features a new interior design concept known as “Connect.” It “connects” traditional First Watch design elements with contemporary executions by maximizing natural light provided during the restaurant’s daytime hours, and incorporating color tones intended to convey the warm and inviting personality of the First Watch brand. The design also accentuates an open-kitchen concept, which reinforces First Watch’s honest approach to fresh food preparation.
“We are thrilled to bring our fresh approach to Breakfast, Brunch and Lunch to Lexington with the opening of our first restaurant there,” said Chris Tomasso, chief marketing officer for First Watch.
First Watch is known for delivering an excellent dining experience and fast, friendly service. A recipient of more than 200 “Best Of” accolades in markets across the country, the restaurant features traditional favorites including pancakes, omelets, salads and sandwiches, as well as signature specialties such as the Chickichanga, Healthy Turkey Omelet and Fresh Fruit Crepes. All menu items are freshly prepared to order and the restaurant does not use deep fryers or heat lamps.
In addition to serving unique and fresh entrées, First Watch offers its exclusive Sunrise Select Premium Blend Coffee. The special blend is made from slow-roasted, hand-selected, high-grown Panamanian, Colombian and Mexican coffee beans.
First Watch serves its entire menu seven days a week from 7 a.m. until 2:30 p.m. The restaurant also offers guests complimentary newspapers and free Wi-Fi Internet access.
