“Daytime Café” opens in Willow Lake West

Award-winning Breakfast, Brunch and Lunch restaurant First Watch continued its expansion in Indianapolis today with the opening of a new restaurant in the Willow Lake West center. The new 3,036-square-foot restaurant, located at 2902 W. 86th St. in the center anchored by Trader Joe’s and Pier 1 Imports, is now the fourth Indianapolis-area restaurant.

First Watch debuted in Indianapolis and the state in April 2012 with the opening of a restaurant at 3309 E. 86th St., just across from the Fashion Mall at Keystone. Four months later, a second First Watch restaurant opened its doors in downtown Indianapolis at 143 N. Illinois St., and earlier this year, First Watch opened in Carmel at 1950 E. Greyhound Pass. Each restaurant employs about 25 local employees.

“First Watch has been well-received in the Indianapolis market since we first opened our doors here just a little more than a year and a half ago.” said Chris Tomasso, chief marketing officer for First Watch. “We pride ourselves on our fresh and unique approach to Breakfast, Brunch and Lunch and look forward to providing fast, friendly service to even more residents in the community.”

The new restaurant in Willow Lake West features an interior design that maximizes the natural light provided during the restaurant’s daytime hours – conveying the warm and inviting personality of the First Watch brand. The design also accentuates an open-kitchen concept, which reinforces First Watch’s honest approach to fresh food preparation.

A recipient of more than 200 “Best Of” accolades in markets across the country, First Watch features traditional favorites including pancakes, omelets, salads and sandwiches, as well as signature specialties such as the Chickichanga, Healthy Turkey Omelet and Fresh Fruit Crepes. Every entrée is made fresh to order, and the restaurant does not use deep fryers or heat lamps.

In addition to serving unique and fresh entrées, First Watch offers its exclusive Sunrise Select Premium Blend Coffee. The special blend is made from slow-roasted, hand-selected, high-grown Panamanian, Colombian and Mexican coffee beans.

First Watch serves its entire menu seven days a week from 7 a.m. until 2:30 p.m. The restaurant also offers guests complimentary newspapers and free Wi-Fi Internet access.
