New location marks continued expansion in the Tampa Bay area
First Watch, the nation’s leading Breakfast, Brunch and Lunch concept, opened its 45th restaurant in Florida — and its tenth in the Tampa Bay area — today. Located across from Largo Mall, the 3,425-square-foot restaurant features an updated new prototype that showcases the evolution of the First Watch brand through a blend of “urban” and “farm” elements.
“Tampa Bay is like home to us and we have enjoyed tremendous success since we first opened here more than 18 years ago,” said Chris Tomasso, chief marketing officer for First Watch. “We continue to seek growing communities to expand locally and Largo is one of the neighborhoods that appealed greatly to us, and one that we believe will embrace our unique approach to Breakfast, Brunch and Lunch.”
First Watch takes freshness to heart by starting each day cutting fresh fruits and vegetables, making French toast and crepe batter from scratch and by featuring ingredients like cage-free eggs, all-natural house preserves, salsa and granola made in-house daily and house-roasted vegetables. In addition, First Watch sources produce locally whenever possible. First Watch also offers its exclusive Sunrise Select Premium Blend Coffee which is made from slow-roasted, hand-selected, high-grown coffee beans from mountains across North, Central and South America.
First Watch serves its entire menu seven days a week from 7 a.m. until 2:30 p.m. The restaurant also offers guests complimentary newspapers and free Wi-Fi Internet access as well as outdoor patio seating and a high-top community table for immediate seating as available.
First Watch opened its first restaurant in Tampa Bay in 1996 in downtown and has been a part of the bay area ever since. The new opening in Largo brings the total number of restaurants in the market to 10 with existing locations in the neighborhoods of downtown Tampa, South Tampa, new Tampa, USF/Fowler, Carrollwood, Clearwater, Palm Harbor, Tyrone and Brandon. First Watch is currently the largest and fastest-growing daytime-only restaurant concept in the U.S. with more than 125 restaurants in 17 states and additional units under development as part of the Bradenton Fla.-based company’s aggressive growth strategy. It also operates 20 restaurants under The Good Egg name in Arizona and two restaurants under the Bread and Company name in Tennessee. For more information, visit www.firstwatch.com.
