Orlando’s favorite Breakfast, Brunch and Lunch restaurant First Watch made its debut in Winter Park, Fla., today with the opening of a restaurant in the Aloma Shopping Center. The new 3,800 sq. ft. restaurant, located at 2215 Aloma Ave., holds an interior space formerly occupied by Blockbuster Video in the Publix Super Markets-anchored shopping center.
This property marks the seventh Orlando-area First Watch and brings the total number of restaurants in Florida to 38. The Winter Park opening comes on the heels of another recent announcement for a location in Mills Park, opening by the end of 2013.
“As we celebrate our 30th year, we’re continuing to look for growth opportunities in new and existing markets, including Orlando,” said Chris Tomasso, chief marketing officer for First Watch. “We’ve had a presence here for more than 20 years now, and given our loyal following in the Orlando community, we expect to grow that presence even further.”
First Watch has won numerous awards in the Orlando area, some for several consecutive years, including “Best Breakfast” in the Orlando Magazine Dining Awards, “Best Brunch Restaurant” and “Best Power Breakfast Restaurant” in the Orlando Business Journal Readers’ Choice Awards, and “Best Breakfast” and “Best Brunch” in the Orlando Sentinel Foodie Awards.
The new Winter Park restaurant features an interior design concept known as “Connect” and will be the first restaurant in the area to feature this design, which was unveiled in 2011. It connects traditional First Watch design elements with contemporary executions by maximizing natural light provided during the restaurant’s daytime hours, and incorporating color tones intended to convey the warm and inviting personality of the First Watch brand. The design also accentuates an open-kitchen concept, which reinforces First Watch’s honest approach to fresh food preparation.
First Watch serves its entire menu seven days a week from 7 a.m. until 2:30 p.m. The restaurant also offers guests complimentary newspapers and free Wi-Fi Internet access.
