For the third consecutive year, First Watch, the Bradenton-based Breakfast, Brunch and Lunch restaurant company, is proud to be the title sponsor of the annual Sarasota Half Marathon & Relay Race. Held on March 11, 2012, the race begins at 7 a.m. with the start and finish held at the Van Wezel Performing Arts Hall.
The 13.1 mile course, starting and finishing at Van Wezel Performing Arts Hall, takes runners and walkers through famous areas of Sarasota including the Ringling Bros Causeway and over the John Ringling Bridge overlooking Sarasota Bay. Thousands of visitors from more than 40 states and Canada have traveled to Sarasota to run, walk or relay through the scenic route in years past and increased participation is expected for 2012.
First Watch Restaurants will be the primary post-race party sponsor, providing mini Siesta Key Cocktails, fresh fruit, muffins and bagels to participants at the finish line. All participates will also receive a gender specific t-shirt, goodie bag and the largest finisher medal in the state.
