Award-winning Breakfast, Brunch and Lunch restaurant First Watch today announced plans to debut in Carmel, Indiana, in the first quarter of 2013. The new 3,388 sq. ft. restaurant will be located at 1950-15 E. Greyhound Pass in the Village Park Plaza, which is anchored by a Walmart Supercenter, Kohl’s, Regal Cinemas, Bed Bath & Beyond, Hobby Lobby and Marsh Supermarket.

The restaurant in Carmel will bring the total number of First Watch restaurants in the Indianapolis market and the state to three. Earlier this year, First Watch debuted in Indiana with the opening of a restaurant at 3309 E. 86th St., Indianapolis, just across from the Fashion Mall at Keystone. In August, First Watch opened its second Indiana restaurant in downtown Indianapolis at 143 N. Illinois St.

“Indianapolis has welcomed us so warmly since we opened our first restaurant earlier this year, and Carmel is such a great community,” said Chris Tomasso, chief marketing officer for First Watch.  “We will continue to seek opportunities to bring our fresh approach to Breakfast, Brunch and Lunch to even more residents as we expand throughout Indianapolis and the state of Indiana.”.

The newly opened restaurant will feature an “Urban” interior design concept, which incorporates rich hues to convey the warm and inviting personality of the First Watch brand, stained concrete floors and communal tables. The design also accentuates the restaurant’s open-kitchen concept – reinforcing First Watch’s honest approach to fresh food preparation.

First Watch is known for delivering an excellent dining experience and fast, friendly service. The menu features traditional favorites including pancakes, omelets, salads and sandwiches, as well as signature specialties such as the Chickichanga, Healthy Turkey Omelet and Fresh Fruit Crepes. All menu items are freshly prepared to order and the restaurant does not use microwaves, deep fryers or heat lamps.

In addition to serving unique and fresh entrées, First Watch offers its exclusive Sunrise Select Premium Blend Coffee. The special blend is made from slow-roasted, hand-selected, high-grown Panamanian, Colombian and Mexican coffee beans.

First Watch serves its entire menu seven days a week from 7 a.m. until 2:30 p.m. The restaurant also offers guests complimentary newspapers and free Wi-Fi Internet access.

The new restaurant is expected to employ about 25 local employees.
