“Daytime Café” continues expansion in Indiana
A little more than one year ago, Breakfast, Brunch and Lunch restaurant First Watch made its debut in the Indianapolis area, and now, the award-winning company has announced plans to open its fourth Indianapolis restaurant in the Willow Lake West shopping center by the end of the year. The new restaurant, located at 2902 W. 86th St., will occupy a 3,036-square-foot space in the center anchored by Trader Joe’s and Pier 1 Imports across from Brebeuf Jesuit Preparatory School.
“Early on, we knew Indianapolis would be a great market for our unique concept,” said Chris Tomasso, chief marketing officer for First Watch. “First Watch has been well-received by the community, and we expect this new location to thrive.”
First Watch debuted in Indianapolis and the state in April 2012 with the opening of a restaurant at 3309 E. 86th St., just across from the Fashion Mall at Keystone. Four months later, a second First Watch restaurant opened its doors in downtown Indianapolis at 143 N. Illinois St., and earlier this year, First Watch opened in Carmel at 1950 E. Greyhound Pass. Each restaurant employs about 25 local employees.
The new restaurant in Willow Lake West will feature an interior design that maximizes the natural light provided during the restaurant’s daytime hours – conveying the warm and inviting personality of the First Watch brand.
A recipient of more than 200 “Best Of” accolades in markets across the country, the restaurant features traditional favorites including pancakes, omelets, salads and sandwiches, as well as signature specialties such as the Chickichanga, Healthy Turkey Omelet and Fresh Fruit Crepes. Every entrée at First Watch is made fresh to order, and the restaurant does not use deep fryers or heat lamps.
In addition to serving unique and fresh entrées, First Watch offers its exclusive Sunrise Select® Premium Blend Coffee. The special blend is made from slow-roasted, hand-selected, high-grown Panamanian, Colombian and Mexican coffee beans.
First Watch serves its entire menu seven days a week from 7 a.m. until 2:30 p.m. The restaurant also offers guests complimentary newspapers and free Wi-Fi Internet access.
