First Watch Wins Guests' Devotion, Awarded Prestigious Consumer Picks Accolade for Family DiningThis marks First Watch’s debut on Nation’s Restaurant News’ Consumer Picks List

First Watch Wins Guests' Devotion, Awarded Prestigious Consumer Picks Accolade for Family DiningFor the first time, First Watch, the nation’s leader in Breakfast, Brunch and Lunch, was recognized with the 2015 Consumer Picks award for Family Dining by the Nation’s Restaurant News annual Consumer Picks survey. The winners are based on the magazine’s fifth annual survey, and First Watch’s win resulted from its first time included in the survey.

The 2015 Consumer Picks survey ranked 172 restaurant chains – 10 more than were included in 2014’s survey – representing four restaurant industry categories: Limited Service, Casual Dining, Family Dining and Fine Dining. The survey was fielded in January, and the results reflect more than 42,000 consumer attitudes on 10 attributes: Food Quality, Value, Cleanliness, Service, Menu Variety, Reputation, Atmosphere, Craveability, Likelihood to Recommend and Likelihood to Return. The overall score for each company is weighted by how guests value these 10 attributes.

Of the 10 attributes, First Watch earned the highest overall score in the Family Dining category across eight: Value, Cleanliness, Service, Reputation, Craveability, Likelihood to Recommend, Likelihood to Return and its top score, Food Quality, where it clearly outdistanced other brands.

“It’s humbling that our guests consistently show so much loyalty and love for everything First Watch has to offer, and that’s definitely reflected in this award,” said Ken Pendery, president and CEO of First Watch. “It’s amazing that we’ve been able to grow so quickly yet not lose focus on building and maintaining relationships with our employees and guests. That’s what sets First Watch apart and what makes it successful. It’s about the people.”

First Watch serves its entire menu seven days a week from 7 a.m. until 2:30 p.m. The restaurant also offers guests complimentary newspapers and free Wi-Fi Internet access.
