Nation’s leading fast-casual pizza chain set to open on Sept. 19, raises funds for Centennial High School
Calling all pizza lovers! The fast-casual revolution is on the move in Nashville and the bustling suburb of Franklin is its next stop.
Area residents will welcome Franklin’s first Pie Five Pizza restaurant on Friday, Sept. 19, at 401-B Cool Springs Blvd., located just north of Aspen Grove Drive. Doors will open at 11 a.m., marking Tennessee’s second destination for perfectly crafted personal pizzas using only the freshest ingredients, baked to order at one great price. The “five” in Pie Five means it all happens in five minutes or less!
Pie Five Pizza Co. recently awarded 10 franchise units to local businessmen Rich Davis and Ron Payne. The first of these locations opened in July at The Crossings retail strip in Donelson, five miles south of the Gaylord Opryland Resort & Convention Center. The partners are moving quickly to spread the nation’s leading fast-casual pizza brand throughout Tennessee after seeing the concept catch fire in other states.
“The food is fresh, made-to-order and fantastic. As local guys, we’re also excited about how committed Pie Five is to supporting the communities in which it operates,” said Davis, a successful consultant and entrepreneur/restaurateur who previously brought the popular Schlotzsky’s brand to the area. “Our first opening over the summer was a big hit, and we’re looking forward to sharing our unique brand of pizza bliss with Franklin and the rest of the Volunteer State!”
The Franklin restaurant will hold a daylong grand opening celebration the following Friday, Sept. 26. Nashville’s 107.5 FM The River will be onsite, adding to the excitement with food and merchandise giveaways from 6-8 p.m.
“Once the folks around here come by and see how they can order their own personalized pizza, with as many toppings as they like, all in about five minutes, they’ll understand what all the fuss is about,” said Steve McCash, general manager of the newest Pie Five. “Just as important, we’re happy to harness the excitement around our grand opening to support Franklin schools and we look forward to many more opportunities like this in the future.”
At Pie Five, guests can choose from more than a million combinations of handcrafted pizzas and a variety of specialty pie choices prepared in less than five minutes on one of four crusts, all for one low price. The rapidly expanding chain is capitalizing on growing consumer demand for fresh dining options and artisan pizzas in stylish environments without the wait.
Pie Five Pizza has been named among Fast Casual’s 2014 Top 15 “Movers & Shakers,” a 2012 Hot Concepts winner by Nation’s Restaurant News and one of “10 Hot New Restaurant Chains from Established Brands” by Forbes.com. With the new Franklin restaurant, the company has 22 locations in eight states (Florida, Kansas, Maryland, North Carolina, Tennessee, Texas, Utah and Virginia) with more than 200 announced franchise units under contract in 12 states and Washington, DC.
The Cool Springs Boulevard restaurant will be open daily from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. A complete menu and more information are available at piefivepizza.com.
