Freddy’s franchise growth is heating up as the 9th area location near San Antonio has opened in The Rim retail district at 17303 IH-10 West.
“The Rim is an exciting destination for South Texas Custard. We have all the attractions of a major shopping center plus Six Flags Fiesta Texas Theme Park right across the street,” commented franchise partner James Oberg. “We look forward to serving our guests cooked-to-order steakburgers and freshly-churned custard to refresh them on their way into or out of the Park.”
In addition to Six Flags, the new location is near the largest Bass Pro store in Texas, a host of other big-box venues as well as dozens of national hotel chains. The free-standing Freddy’s restaurant includes a drive-thru window and both indoor and patio seating.

Freddy’s first arrived in the San Antonio area during 2006 with the location on Agora Parkway in Selma. The Rim location brings the nationwide count for Freddy’s Frozen Custard and Steakburgers to 68. The 10th San Antonio area Freddy’s is schedule to open in early July at 5415 W. Loop 1604 North near Sea World San Antonio.
