From Miami To The Middle East, The New Miami Subs Grill Makes The Jump Across The Pond To Set Up Shop In Six Gulf Coast Countries

In the midst of international expansion efforts in South America, The New Miami Subs Grill has penned a deal with Mazah Trading and Contracting Co. Lt., a successful conglomerate of various companies based in Saudi Arabia, to open 56 new locations in a region known as the Gulf Coast Countries (GCC) in the Middle East. The region includes Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, United Arab Emirates, Oman, Qatar and Bahrain, which will all now be home to the iconic Miami brand. The GCC franchise locations will be operated under the name Al Zarah Group, with the first locations to be opened in Saudi Arabia, including a flagship store that will act as the training facility for certification of all future franchisees in the region. This strategic alliance between The New Miami Subs Group and Al Zarah Group will ensure the successful transition of the franchise to the Middle East.

“With our recent expansion efforts, both at home and abroad, this is a strategic move for strengthening our brand on a global scale,” says CEO Richard Chwatt .  As part of their domestic growth efforts, the franchise brand recently announced three new Miami area locations opening, in Miami Springs, Miami and South Beach, for the first time in over 20 years.

When tasked with finding an American brand to partner with, an associate of Abu Nasser , owner of Mazah Trading and Contracting Co. Lt., immediately recommended The New Miami Subs Grill because of his love of the food and branding from his time spent in the United States.

“We are excited to have partnered with the Al Zarah Group and look forward to seeing the development of our brand in the Middle East,” says Director of Franchise Development, Robert Haar .

With the brand’s recent equity partnership with international music sensation and entrepreneur Armando Christian Perez , aka Pitbull, the push to take the Miami brand “worldwide” is becoming increasingly apparent. Not only is his image and signature Miami style being infused in the design of upcoming locations, but Pitbull’s global aspirations are influencing the brand’s business endeavors.
