Guests can obtain birthday offers via the company’s email club or Facebook and Twitter pages beginning Thursday, Jan. 24.Along with commemorating its fifth birthday, Garbanzo is also recognizing its path to this landmark year and the expansion plans it has in place.

After opening its first location Jan. 28, 2008 in Greenwood Village, Colo., Garbanzo has since expanded to 15 Colorado-based, company-owned locations with two stores set to open in the D.C./Baltimore area February and March 2013. Garbanzo is also regularly welcoming new franchisees to the scene, with franchised locations already open in Oklahoma City and San Antonio, and many more on the docket in 2013. New locations are expected in Orange County, Calif., northern New Jersey and Edmond, Okla., between March and May of this year. Franchisees continue to sign on and the company anticipates doubling its current size by the beginning of 2014.

“It is sometimes hard to believe we are already celebrating our fifth birthday, but when I look back on all we have accomplished I am not surprised by how far we have come,” says Alon Mor, Garbanzo founder, president and CEO. “In these past five years we have opened in four major Colorado markets, announced countless franchisees to the Garbanzo family, opened our first franchised locations and set the stage for a second company-owned market. To say we are excited about what is to come in our next five years would be an understatement.

“Our past and future accomplishments are of course due to our dedicated ‘Bean Team’ and loyal guests,” continues Mor. “Without them, none of this would be possible. And I thank them every day for helping us reach our nationwide potential.”

Garbanzo offers guests a variety of authentic Mediterranean items with an emphasis on flavor, freshness and quality, as well as a healthy trans-fat free menu. All Garbanzo salads and sauces are prepared on-site daily, and the pita are made from scratch throughout the day in every restaurant.
