Garbanzo Mediterranean Grill, a Colorado-based fast casual restaurant concept featuring healthy and authentic Mediterranean cuisine, announced the grand opening of its 30th location nationwide. The new restaurant opened today, Wednesday, April 9, 2014, at 4575 E. Cactus Rd., Suite 140 and is the second Garbanzo in Phoenix near Paradise Valley Mall.

Garbanzo offers guests a variety of authentic Mediterranean items with an emphasis on flavor, authentic tastes and quality, as well as a healthy trans-fat free menu. Guests can enjoy traditional favorites such as kabobs, gyros, Greek salads or customize their meal with items such as pita, Mediterranean wraps, falafel, hummus, seasoned rice, sauces and dressings. All Garbanzo salads and sauces are prepared on-site daily, and the pita are made from scratch throughout the day in every restaurant. Additionally, several ingredients are bought locally and some are imported directly from the Mediterranean region.
Franchising is one of Garbanzo’s key growth strategies building upon the success of its 19 company-owned restaurants in Colorado. The newest Garbanzo joins existing company- and franchisee-owned locations throughout the country. Garbanzo corporate has 15 locations in Colorado, and four in Maryland. Current franchise locations include Phoenix, Arizona, Orange County, California, South Windsor, Connecticut, Boca Raton, Florida, Atlanta, Georgia, Florham Park, New Jersey, Oklahoma City, Oklahoma and San Antonio, Texas. With many new store openings on the horizon, Garbanzo is on track to double in size by the end of 2014.
